Enter the email address on your Sejeli account. We will send you a six-digit
code to prove the address is yours, and then delete the account.
What is deleted, and what is not.
Students: your account is deleted — your name, email,
date of birth, ID photo and your phone’s registration.
Your attendance record stays with your university. It
belongs to your courses rather than to this app, and your instructors
keep it the way they would keep a paper register.
Registering again: on the same phone, any time. On a
different phone your instructor approves it first, exactly as they would if
you were changing phones without deleting — see the
Privacy Policy for the marker that makes this
work and how long it is kept.
Instructors: your profile, password, saved rooms and
colleague links are deleted, and you are removed from every course you
contribute to. Courses you share stay with the colleagues on them.
One email, two accounts. If the
same address is both an instructor and a student — a demonstrator enrolled
in a Masters, for instance — we will ask which you mean before deleting
anything.
Deletion cannot be undone.

3. Which account?

Prefer to do it in the app?
Open Sejeli, go to Profile, and use Delete account
at the bottom under Account. It does exactly the same thing.
Removing some of your data, without deleting your account
You do not have to choose between keeping your account and taking something back.
Two pieces of your data can be removed on their own, from inside Sejeli, in a couple
of taps:
The photo of your university ID card. Open Sejeli, go to
Profile, and use Remove under the photo. It is
deleted from our servers. Everything else about your account is untouched.
A photo you attached to an appeal. Open the course, find the
appeal under Attendance, and use Remove photo.
The appeal itself and the note you wrote stay, because your instructor is deciding
on them; the picture is deleted, and they see that it was withdrawn rather than a
blank space.
Both are immediate and neither needs to go through us. Everything else Sejeli holds
about you — your name, email address, university ID number, date of birth and
your attendance record — is part of the account or of your academic record, and
goes when the account is deleted above, or when the course itself is deleted at the
end of its term. The Privacy Policy sets out how long
each of those is kept.
If you want something removed that is not listed here, write to
support@sejeli.com and say what it is. Under
Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law we answer within six working days.
